Recipe Roundup – Breakfast Time!

Recipe Roundup - Breakfast |

As promised, I have put together another Recipe Roundup, and this time it’s a collection of some great breakfast recipes that we have loved and enjoyed. We love to eat breakfast for any meal of the day, so this list is near and dear to my heart 😉

As in my Dinner Time Roundup, there are some great dishes I’ve listed here that I still have to post recipes for so that they will be accessible online. So the ones that aren’t clickable are those I haven’t gotten finished yet 🙁  But I will try to get on those soon. (I am extremely limited by my poor photography skills, so that holds me up more than anything!) Also, keep in mind that I will continue to add to this list as I find and try new recipes! My Pinterest Boards are full of beautiful and amazing-looking recipes and my boys are always up for experimentation!

As I did on the last roundup, I have also starred the recipes that are good for our healing diet (with proper substitutions when necessary). I know some of you are on healing diets that are even more restrictive than ours, so you’ll just have to look at each recipe and see if it will work for you. Remember, there are often good substitutes or ways to get around using ingredients that you can’t eat, so you could potentially make some of these work for you either way.

General Breakfast Foods:

Pancakes & Waffles:

  • Apple Pie Oat Pancakes** (Gluten-Free – Use this recipe and sub applesauce for the pumpkin and 1-1/2 teaspoons apple pie spice for the spices. Omit the milk unless needed. We eat these with the Caramel Apple Syrup listed below.)
  • Cinnamon Roll Pancakes (These pancakes are great without the topping, but with it–you will think you died and went to heaven! I add both the cinnamon mixture and the cream cheese mixture on top instead of swirling it into the pancakes–not as pretty, but WAY easier!)
  • Oatmeal Pancakes or Waffles** (Gluten-Free)
  • Pancake Squares
  • Peanut Butter Pancakes (I use almond butter.)
  • Perfect Buttermilk Pancakes
  • Pumpkin Oat Pancakes** (Gluten-Free – I sub 1-1/2 teaspoons pumpkin pie spice for all the spices listed–tastes better)
  • Pumpkin Pancakes IHOP Style (I typically use more pumpkin than what it calls for)
  • Waffles (I use 2 teaspoons coconut sugar instead of the white, coconut oil instead of veg oil, bump the vanilla up to a full teaspoon, and add 1 teaspoon cinnamon.)

Syrups and Sauces:

** Again, recipes marked with the stars are those we can eat on our healing diet (with some requiring slight modifications). I am working on a roundup for desserts, so look for that sometime in the near future!

OK! Now please share your favorite breakfast food recipes in the comments! I would love to add more yumminess to my repertoire! 🙂

I'd love to hear what you have to say!
