Thieves Throat Spray

Today is a quick, simple post with one goal in mind–if you haven’t tried my Thieves throat spray, you are missing out! It’s a fantastic soothing throat spray made with Thieves Essential Oil. You NEED this in your life.

Now, this is not my original recipe, mind you–I have found it various places online–so I can’t take credit for it. But I have introduced it to so many people and everyone loves it. My father-in-law used to have us make it up for him in big bottles so he would always have it on-hand. That’s how I make it for us too 😉

What’s this recipe good for? Well, throats, for starters (I mean, it IS called Thieves THROAT spray). It will soothe a throat like you wouldn’t believe. But it’s also good for any part of your mouth that needs some soothing TLC. And you can’t overdose on this stuff, so you can use it as often as needed. I like the taste–it takes me back to high school and the days of Binaca breath freshener. Anyone else remember Binaca?

The recipe does contain a little bit of Vodka. I have known people to make it without the alcohol, but it’s just not the same. It is such a small amount that I don’t worry about using it, even with my little man. I wouldn’t use it on a a baby, but for older kids, I think the Vodka is no big deal (although I wouldn’t send it to school with them). You can use cheap Vodka. But be sure you don’t use cheap oils! I only recommend Young Living Essential Oils, as they are the only ones I trust, especially since you’re ingesting them. You can buy Young Living Essential Oils HERE. And one more note: I like my throat spray strong, with extra Thieves oil, so I use 15 drops instead of 10.
